The casino industry employees rely heavily on your generosity. Please reward these hard working people with a gratuity. One of the first things we do before our trip is be sure to have plenty of one dollar bills handy at least $20. We have a few suggestions, but nothing is carved in stone. The receivers are very appreciative of your kindness.
Valet parking attendants - $1-2 - $5 if they do something special for you.
Taxi Cab drivers - 15% of fare
Shuttle drivers - $1.00
Bellmen $2-5 Depending on how much you will be needing them later.
Skycaps - $1 per bag depending on weight and size of bags. Average minimum tip is $5
Hotel Housekeeping - $1 a day ... hey I wouldn't pick up after you for that :-)
Room Service - 15-20%
Restaurant Waiters - 15-20%
Buffet - $1 per person is nice. Please don't forget your servers
Cocktail Waitresses - $1 per round for small party 1-2 - Remember if you order water they have to walk the same distance as a cocktail to serve you and it weighs the same. Be nice about it.
Dealers - These are most appreciated. Several ways to tip a dealer. You may tip a dealer a side bet next to your bet or on top of your bet. Dealers usually enjoy being able to participate in the game. If you place his tip on top of yours and it wins you keep the original chip and he collects the winnings from his bet you have set aside. Or you may want to just hand him cash or chips when you leave the table. I usually tip every 30 minutes or so with a chip or a bet. This is entirely up to you.
Slot Attendents - If you are winning be nice share a little, after all they brought your wins. Good Karma.
Casino Host and Hostess - These wonderful people are not allowed to accept money tips. But a nice little gift from your area or something special at Christmas is graciously appreciated. Most casinos limit the amount a host can receive to $25 and under.
