Harrah’s Tunica To Host World Series of Poker®
Circuit Tournament January 20 – February 4
TUNICA, Miss., – The high-stakes action of the World Series of Poker®, the richest sporting event on the planet, is coming to Harrah’s Tunica from January 20 through February 4.
The World Series of Poker Circuit schedule for Harrah’s Tunica will include 30 tournament events, with buy-ins ranging from $200 up to $5,000 for the no-limit hold’em finale. The winner of the $5,000 championship will win cash plus a $10,000 buy-in to the World Series of Poker Main Event at the Rio® All-Suites Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas in summer 2009.
“The World Series of Poker is without question the single most prestigious gaming event anywhere, and we’re thrilled to bring all the excitement of the tournament to our customers,” said Ricky Busey, assistant general manager of Harrah’s Tunica.
Last year, the Harrah’s Tunica Circuit drew over 10,000 entrants who competed against prominent professional players and shared in the $2,500,000 total prize money.
