Weather: 
Weather can be unpredictable especially the first part of the year. One day it may be 50-70 degrees and snow the next day and then back to 60 degrees. Old saying...if you don't like today's weather, wait until tomorrow. If you are planning outdoor sports or recreation check the weather forecast. www.weatherchannel.com. Majority of the year you will find Tunica's weather excellent. Summertime has a few scorcher days. Mosquitoes can be a problem occasionally in the summer months, but the casinos work really hard to keep the pesky critters away. The casinos are always Perfect Weather.

Location of Casinos:
Tunica currently has 9 Casinos. The casinos are not all along a strip such as Vegas. They are clustered.
In the casino center - Gold Strike, Horseshoe, and Sheraton are all within walking distance.
Hollywood and Harrah's are next door to each other and have a covered walkway most of the way.
Sam's Town is across the street from Hollywood and Harrah's to some it is walking distance, but to others they prefer to drive or take the shuttle. Just a matter of preference.
Fitzgerald's stands alone. Bally's stands alone, but is close to Casino Center. The Grand stands alone with over 2,000 acres in the resort complex.

Getting around:
If you don't have your car or a rental car, there is a shuttle available for $1. Two shuttle lines run to each casino several times an hour, but not 24 hours a day. Be sure and ask before boarding a shuttle if it is the quickest one to the casino you want to go to. Otherwise you may be on the tail end of a run and ride for longer than you wish. Hotel / Casinos:
Not all hotels are connected to the casinos. This is important to some.....not to others. The casinos without connecting hotels are the Grand and Bally's. Both run shuttles between casinos and hotels. Shuttles run every few minutes. Never a waiting problem. For a view of casinos and hotels check out our Casino page

Recreation:
Tunica has three golf courses. River Bend by Harrah's, Hollywood and Sam's Town. Grand has Cottonwoods and the Tunica National Golf and Tennis Complex.

Pets:
If you are bringing a pet. No casino allows pets. However Treasure Town 1-800-201-3040 in Robinsonville on Casino Strip Drive closer to Sam's Town, Harrah's and Hollywood. Bringing Children:
No one under the age of 21 is allowed on the Casino gaming floor. Security is tight on this issue. Children and under age individuals accompanied by parents/guardians or security can cross the gaming floor to go to dining establishments. Grand Arcade - Grand Arcade is for age 13 and up, under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Arcade has 70 state of the art Video machines, vending machines, redemption games, Pinball, and more. 8 tokens = $1.00.
